In response to the ongoing travel restrictions that continue to be in place for Australians due ti the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queensland Department of Education has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Premier’s Anzac Prize program.

Closes Monday, 14 September 2020

The annual Premier’s Anzac Prize provides a life-changing opportunity for 8 high school students to experience the Anzac tradition first-hand and to see how the Anzac legacy relates to modern Australian life. Applications for 2021 have now opened. All eligible Queensland high school students in Years 8-11 are invited to apply through their school. Each state school or accredited non-state school may nominate up to 2 students. Prize recipients of the Premier’s Anzac Prize have the opportunity to participate and experience the Anzac tradition with a tour of Anzac battlefields across Europe, following our Anzac soldiers during World War I. The Premier’s Anzac Prize is a highly enriching program for young history enthusiasts. Discover the previous tour to see what is offered.

Teachers are invited to apply for the 2 chaperone positions. Applications for teachers close Monday 10 August 2020.

An application package, including helpful information is available for both student and teacher applicants.
