2023 Ration Shed Tour to Cherbourg
You are invited to join our 25th of March Ration Shed Tour to Cherbourg, departing early on the Saturday morning from Woombye SS carpark at 7.30am. We would love to guide you out to Cherbourg’s Historical precinct for a life changing personal and professional experience.
Let Elders guide you throughout the Precinct, explaining what life was like Under the Act of 1897 and the imposed restrictions enforced on First Nations peoples. An emotional and moving experience that seeks to share our shared history from a First Nations perspective, this all important experience is an important part of the Truth-telling process for Reconciliation.
You’ll be amazed by the deep history, exhibitions, collective storytelling and resilience of the First Nations people who call Barambah/Cherbourg home.
