History: Where Next?
2020 QHTA Virtual State History Conference
27 June 2020
** delegates will be offered online sessions for registration **
The Queensland History Teachers’ Association invites you to attend the 2020 QHTA Virtual State History Conference.
The theme for the Conference is HISTORY: WHERE NEXT?
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
The QHTA is taking seriously its response to the ever-evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Our focus, first and foremost, is the health and wellbeing of our people – our members and members of our Executive, Patrons and Life Members, sponsors, supporters and trades, and all teachers in Queensland. We also want to ensure that QHTA continues to support our teachers with Professional Development and resources.
In-line with advice from Government and health professionals, we have reconsidered how we offer Professional Development during this time, and specifically how we will deliver our State Conference on 27 June 2020, that does not involve a large number of people in one space. With this in mind, we have moved our Conference online so that delegates can receive important Professional Development from the comfort and safety of their homes.
The online delivery of the QHTA State Conference this year has enabled us to reduce our costs so that we have been able to offer full-day registration at a half-day rate. This reduction in registration fees will hopefully make it more affordable so that even in these changed circumstances many History teachers will still be able to participate. We hope you can join us.
