HTAA Conference 2026

REGISTRATION OPENING SOON!

QHTA is excited to be hosting this year’s History Teachers of Australia (HTAA) National Conference. Join us on 8th – 9th July 2026 at the State Library of Queensland for two days of inspiring professional learning.

Submissions for workshop proposals are now closed and our program will be released shortly – watch this space!

The program includes four amazing keynotes – we can’t wait to share this news!

Would you like to showcase your business to our delegates? We have a range of sponsorship and exhibitor options. Our sponsorship booklet can be viewed here and expressions of interest can be submitted here.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Bursaries for regional, remote and rural teachers

Applications for a bursary to attend our conference are now OPEN. Do you teach in regional, remote or rural Australia? Our bursary will provide FREE registration for both conference days and $500 towards the cost of your travel.

We want to use these bursaries as an opportunity to hear more from our regional colleagues. Tell us in up to 500 words about your experiences of teaching outside of SEQ – what brought you there, your community, the highs and lows and what you wish people outside of regional areas knew about teaching ‘from the tip down’.

Applications are available here and must be submitted by 20th April 2026 to bursaries@qhta.com.au
